JAMMU, Nov 10: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has demanded enhancement of medical allowance of State Government employees and pensioners to Rs 1000 per month.
Addressing NMC workers meet here today its President, Subash Shastri appealed to the Governor, Satya Pal Malik to make some provision so that the salary of daily rated workers is paid regularly.
He also demanded amendment in SRO 520 to provide relief to several thousand daily rated workers working in various departments for the last 10-20 years so that they should be exempted from the production of middle qualification certificate.
He also demanded removal of all pay anomalies of clerical cadre of the State Government, enhancing of wages of daily rated workers to Rs 500 per day besides issuance of regularization order of left over daily rated workers working in Rural Development Department of Jammu province and setting up of national wage commission and total exemption of DA from income tax.
Among those who were present in the meeting included Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Shiv Ram Sharma, Romesh Sharma, Jai Pal Sharma, Ram Singh, Darshan Bawa, Surinder Kumar, Sardhri Lal, Sudesh Bhagat and others.
