Sir,
The Jammu and Kashmir Government is implementing 7th Pay Commission from 1st April, 2018 with retrospective effect from January, 2016 after working out revised pay scales and pay anomalies for which respective committees were constituted well in time. It is, therefore, appropriate time to make a humble submission to the J&K Govt. about enhancing medical allowance also from Rs 300 to Rs 5000 for which the J&K Government employees and pensioners have been requesting since a long. The prices of medicines and doctor’s fees have gone so high that the meager amount of Rs 300 tantamounts to be of no value. The employees and pensioners are incurring expenditures of an amount ranging from Rs 5000 to Rs 10000 for medical treatment and purchase of medicines per month.
Aged members of the families of employees and pensioners are victims of many diseases and thus they have to spend huge amount per month, with the result, it becomes very difficult for them to pull on with the life. Due to the very fact, the MLAs, the MLCs, the MPs and the other Legislatives and Parliamentarians are getting a good amount of medical allowances so that they can meet the expenditures being incurred by them. The defense personnel are also getting good medical facilities.
In view of the above, it is solicited that the submission of the J&K Government employees and pensioners may be conceded for enhancing medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 5000 per month along with other appropriate medical facilities so that they can sustain life by undergoing medical treatment as employees’ parents and the pensioners being in their old age are suffering from multiple diseases.
Yours etc….
