JAMMU, Mar 1: On Maha Shivratri, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha J&K here today celebrated the enlightenment day of Arya Samaj founder, Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Ji.
A function in this regard was organized at Arya Samaj Purani Mandi Jammu wherein all Arya Samajs of Jammu participated.
The function started with performing Hawan and this was followed by recitation of devotional songs by Organiser of Arya Virangana Dal, Sukriti Chowdhary with her team.
Various Vedic scholars including Dr. Pratibha Purandhi, Dr. Satya Priya, Chain Lal Shastri, Ranjit Shastri and others threw light on the teachings of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Ji.
Chief Guest on the occasion was Sunita Koul, JMC Councillor of Ward 4.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor promised to facilitate the construction of a Community Hall at Arya Samaj, Purani Mandi.
A vote of thanks was delivered by Arya Pratinidhi Sabha president, Arun Chowdhary and Rishi Langar was served to all the visiting devotees.
