JAMMU, Feb 14: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Migrant Wing today appealed the Lt. Governor’s administration to ensure that adequate facilities for Kashmiri Pandits are put in place for the celebration of Maha Shivratri.
To take a review of the arrangements that are needed to be made ahead of the religious festival, a meeting of PDP’s Migrant Wing was held which was attended by its president, Sunil Bhat, Anu Ji, P N Zutshi, C L Dhar, Bansi Lal Koul, Suraj Tak, Chaman Lal Bhat, Vijay Pandit, M K Dhar and several others.
The leaders present in the meeting pitched that the rates of the essential commodities needed to be put under control in migrant camps and non camp areas. The leaders also urged for the cash assistance to be given to migrants in advance and demanded adequate supply of essential commodities, besides uninterrupted supply of water and electricity.
The leaders also requested to the Lt. Governor administration to release pending salary of all the employees KPs and non KPs those who are posted in Kashmir before Maha Shivratri festival.
