UDHAMPUR, Feb 11: With a view to ensure effective implementation of DBT scheme which envisages the direct transfer of subsidy on domestic LPG cylinder to bank accounts of consumers, the District Development Commissioner Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal convened a meeting with senior officers of line departments and stake holders of LPG agencies of Udhampur district at conference hall here today.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held regarding the successful implementation of the Direct Benefit Transfer schemes which mainly include dealer wise number of LPG connection issued, dealer wise number of LPG connection linked with AADHAR/bank for DBT, opening of bank accounts of students eligible for scholarships and ensuring their linkage with AADHAR for DBT, opening of bank accounts of all eligible beneficiaries of pension/ scholarships under all schemes and their linkage AADHAR for DBT, bank wise detail of bank accounts opened under JAN DHAN YOJANA and ensuring its linkage with AADHAR etc.
The DDC directed all LPG agencies of Udhampur district that by end of February 2015, every LPG connection should be linked with bank accounts of consumers positively. She asked Joint Director Planning to take compliance report in writing from the LPG gas agencies owners about the status of home delivery mechanism of cylinders to consumers in rural as well as urban areas as per ruling of Supreme Court.
She directed DSWO to give all bank account detail of pensioners/ beneficiaries to her office soon. Mrs. Mudgal also instructed DSWO to organize awareness camps in rural areas regarding importance of utilization of AADHAR in various DBT schemes.
The DDC advised all banks to complete the process of feeding AADHAR cards in the LPG consumer bank accounts on priority basis under the PAHAL DBTL scheme launched by Government of India.
Among others, Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, DSEO, Ashok Khajuria, DIO NIC, Anil Sharma, DSWO, Yash Paul, Manager Lead Bank, Cluster Head J&K Bank, TSO Panchari and representative of various stake holder of LPG agencies were also present in the meeting.
