Ensure implementation of DDB decisions: Sadhotra

RAJOURI, July 6: The Rajouri district has received an Annual Plan out lay of Rs. 116.54 crore for the current financial year with Rs 49.92 crore as revenue component and Rs. 66.62 crore as capital component.
The capital component includes State Share of Rs. 25.73 crore and Projectized amount of Rs. 10.79 crore, besides Institutional Loan (NABARD & LIC) of Rs. 17.08 crore and Additional Central Assistance (AIBP) of Rs. 13.00 crore.
The Annual Plan was approved by the Chairman District Development Board (DDB) Rajouri and Minister for Planning, Development, Labour and Employment, Ajay Sadhotra, while chairing the DDB meeting here today.
The Annual Plan out lay proposed for different sectors includes Rs. 1463.88 lakh for Transport and Communication, Rs. 1885.26 lakh for Special Area Programme, Rs. 779.15 lakhs for Rural Development Department, Rs. 178.81 lakh for Agriculture and allied activities, Rs. 19.95 lakhs for Industries and Minerals, and Rs. 63.10 lakh for General Services and Rs. 32.55 lakh for General Economics services have been allocated.
Addressing the meeting, the Minister called upon the officers to ensure the implementation of the decisions taken in the board meeting in letter and spirit so that the benefits of schemes taken up under core sectors percolate down to the targeted lot.
Stressing on close monitoring of the development projects, he asked the district administration to ensure time line completion of PMGSY road projects, water supply schemes, projects for strengthening power infrastructure and other projects aimed at improving the social infrastructure. He said that the Government was keen to develop rural districts at par with the urban centres by providing all basic amenities to the people.
The meeting also reviewed the action taken on the decisions of the previous board meetings and also discussed in detail the fiscal and financial targets proposed for current financial year. The meeting took sector wise review of financial and physical achievements registered under the last year’s district annual plan.
Earlier, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, F. C. Bhagat gave a power point presentation of the achievement registered under various sectors during 2012-13.
Responding to the demands raised by Legislators about their respective constituencies, the Minister directed the concerned officers to take appropriate action in this regard.
Minister of State for Health Shabir Ahmed Khan, Member Parliament Jammu-Poonch Constituency Madan Lal Sharma, Vice Chairman, Advisory Board for Development of Kissan, Radhey Sham Sharma, VC Advisory Board for Development of Gujjar and Bakerwal, Ch Bashir Ahmed Naaz, VC Advisory Board for Development of Scheduled Castes, Sawarn Lata, VC Advisory Board for Development of Other Backward Classes, Kuldeep Raj Verma, MLA Kalakote Thakur Rashpal Singh, MLA Darhal Ch. Zulifkar Ali, MLCs Ravinder Kumar Sharma, Dr. Shahnaz Ganai and Sham Lal Bhagat were also present in the meeting.
