Ensure massive win of NC candidate in Anantnag: NC Minority Cell

JAMMU, June 8: Intensifying mass contact drive in camp and non-camp Kashmiri migrant habitations in the winter capital, National Conference on Wednesday sought support for the party candidate from Anantnag Assembly constituency in the ensuing by-elections.
Led by State vice president Rattan Lal Gupta, a delegation of NC, comprising senior functionaries of the Minority Cell, exuded confidence about comfortable victory of the party nominee in the constituency.
Earlier, at a meeting at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan, which was attended by former MLC Vijay Bakaya also, the National Conference leaders sought dispensing of M Forms to ensure large scale participation of the migrant voters.
“Once that is done, adequate arrangement of setting up of polling stations should be ensured to facilitate registered voters”, Rattan Lal Gupta said, adding that this will go a long way in ensuring massive turn out in the polling.
The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, Anil Dhar, M K Yogi, B K Bhat and others.
Meanwhile,  NC district president (Urban), Dharamveer Singh Jamwal has  expressed dismay over fast deteriorating civic amenities in capital city of Jammu, blaming PDP-BJP Coalition for aggravating the problems of city dwellers.
“The city that ought to have been a model city in view of 24×7 influx of tourists and pilgrims is in shambles with garbage littered all over”, he said while addressing workers at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan.
He said the administration seems to have proceeded on long leave in the Jammu region, especially after the Durbar Move, which is why no attention is being paid towards civic amenities.
