UDHAMPUR, Apr 5: District Development Council Chairperson, Udhampur Lal Chand today inaugurated the Council office in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib, BDCs, President MC, DDCs at Jeevika Bhawan adjacent to DC office complex .
Speaking at the inaugural event, the DDC Chairperson sought cooperation from District Administration as well as all district officers to take the development profile of the district to new heights. He said that the effective implementation of the developmental schemes is not possible without the active participation of district officers. He called upon the officers to ensure maximum cooperation with PRIs for effective implementation of development activities in the district.
The DDC Chairperson also sought the cooperation of the media in highlighting public issues, government welfare schemes and other activities so that the benefits percolates to the last man standing in the queue.
He requested them to disseminate the information among the common masses about the government schemes so that the people can avail maximum benefits. He called upon the officers of various departments to prepare estimates and plan for various schemes / projects in the month of April so that developmental initiatives are realized and 100 percent funds are utilized on development works to avoid lapses .
The DC Udhampur hoped that developmental process on grassroots level will get a boost with the establishment of 3-tier PRI. The DC assured all possible support from District Administration.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Sargun Shukla; Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar and other officers were also present.
