JAMMU, Feb 14: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee, Sector One and Sector Two in its meeting today has made an appeal to Jal Shakti Department to ensure fresh water supply for half an hour in the morning on the occasion of Maha Shivratri falling on February 18 from 7 am.
The meeting also appealed the PHE authorities to provide water supply on alternatively from February 15 onwards in view of the coming festival. Further proper water supply be ensured during festival days, it added.
It also urged PDD authorities to ensure regular power supply so that the devotees may not face any inconvenience in performing the Pooja on this auspicious occasion.
The meeting urged the JMC to repair the damaged lights in the area before Maha Shivratri and also ensure proper sanitation in the area.
The meeting was chaired by Roshan Lal Raina, president Sector I and also addressed by Sanjay Ganjoo, president Sector 2.
