Ensure Regular K oil supply

Sir,
As per the Government order, the supplies of Kerosene oil in Jammu have been discontinued through the authorized depots but is being maintained by the CAPD through tankers for which prior notification is published (sometimes through little known and seldom read newspapers) for the public to know exact date of Kerosene oil supply. However, it has been observed for the last so many months that supply to Channi Himmat is effected only at the fag end of every month for the reasons best known to the authorities.
Supply schedule of February was notified and published for 27th February and the people stood in long queue since morning but in the afternoon it was declared that supply would be effected the next day i.e. 28th February. To the utter surprise of consumers, the tanker did not arrive till 12.00 noon when the consumers were told that the supply would not be effected that day also. It was at the intervention of  the Director CAPD  his intervention that the supply was effected after 3.30 PM. Had the matter been not brought to the notice of Director the supply quota earmarked for February would have lapsed or misused by someone at the helm of affairs in CAPD apart from so many needy consumers having wasted their two precious days and would have been forced to buy the kerosene in black market.
The Government is urged to ensure regular monitoring of Kerosene supply, fix accountability in case of such lapses, and publish supply schedules in well-read newspapers and also through departmental web-site.
Yours  etc….
