Ensure regular water, power supply: Sham to officers

JAMMU, July 30: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma today called upon the officers to adopt positive approach to streamline services and maintain public utilities.
The Minister said this while interacting with deputations and individuals at Summer Secretariat here today.
Senior officers of concerned departments were present on the occasion.
Various deputations met the Minister and projected their developmental demands and grievances which mainly related with PHE, PDD, Education, Health and R&B sectors and sought redressal of the same.
A deputation from Govind Nagar (Talab Tillo) demanded immediate repair/upgradation of existing transformers in their area.
The Minister while speaking on the occasion said that efforts are being made to strengthen the development infrastructure in urban as well as rural areas.
The Minister directed the concerned authorities to immediately repair/re place the damaged transformers in Govind Nagar so that people of the area may not face any inconvenience during the monsoon season.
The Minister said that several mega projects have been launched in the state under welfare schemes and programmes to upgrade the living status of the people of the state adding that many more such developmental projects under PHE and PDD sectors are at different stages of execution to overcome the water, power scarcity in every part of the State.
