JAMMU, Oct 10: Expressing serious concern over the scarcity of water in the area despite repeated pleas to the concerned departmental authorities, Durga Nagar Welfare Committee has urged the authorities to ensure the daily supply of water during the holy Navratra festival in the area.
The president of the Committee, Roshan Lal Raina has made an appeal to the Advisor in charge PHE and Chief Engineer, PHE urging them to issue directives to the concerned officers of Department to ensure regular supply of the water in Durga Nagar during the festival days so that the people can perform their religious rituals without any problem.
He said Durga Nagar is facing acute scarcity of drinking water and same needs immediate attention of the authorities.
