Ensure safety of religious minorities in B’desh: Gupta

JAMMU, Aug 10: BSP J&K general secretary and media head, Rajesh Gupta today urged the Government to take every possible step to ensure safety of Hindus, Sikhs and other religious minorities in Bangladesh.
Addressing to press persons here today Gupta claimed that fundamentalists are targeting religious minorities in the neighboring country.
He called for tight vigil on India-Bangladesh border as infiltration attempts could be made into India taking the advantage of prevailing situation in Bangladesh.
The BSP leader asked the world community to take effective action for the safety of religious minorities and for the protection of human rights in Bangladesh which is trapped in a strange uncertainty, violence and anarchy.
“The religious places, business establishments and houses of Hindus, Sikhs and other minorities have been rampaged in Bangladesh,” Gupta continued adding that even crematoriums were not spared by the communal frenzy mobs.
