JAMMU, Mar 13: BJP today appealed Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha to ensure security of package as well as other minorities in the Valley in view of the fresh threats of The Resistance Front (TRF).
BJP leader and co convener Kashmir Displaced District (KDD), H L Bhat in a statement today said that that Government should not take such threats lightly and ensure fool proof security of the minorities as well as package and reserved category employees working in Valley who have been targeted by the militants for last two years.
Bhat also demanded release of pending salaries of all package as well as reserved category employees who have since joined their duties in Kashmir and also stressed on allotment of Government accommodations to them. He said the quarters of Estates Department in Srinagar and other places in Valley be allotted to them since the Darbar Move has been halted and such quarters are vacant at various places.
He also visited Block No. 44 /5 wherein the fire victim family has been temporarily shifted. He also visited the site of the migrant family in block No.41 Room No.24 of Jagati Township. He endorsed the demand of camp inmates for a fire brigade in the camp as in past also some families became victim of the fire accidents and it is practically impossible to control such incidents as the fire services have to move from Roop Nagar and travel a long distance to Jagti, he added.
