JAMMU, May 25: Dalit Janjagriti Mission (DJM) has demanded that Government should make all necessary measures for smooth conduct of the Shree Amarnath Yatra besides ensuring their proper security arrangements.
Addressing the press conference, Sohail Ahmad Mir, National general secretary, Dalit Janjagriti Mission (DJM), told media persons that their mission will be to provide camping facilities for the pilgrims and devotees at Baltal and Pahalgam base camps for the stay of the pilgrims and devotees by providing tents free of cost. In addition the mission has arranged to supply shoes and blankets to the pilgrims during Yatra.
Mr Mir has expressed his grave concern over the attitude of the Government for turning a deaf ear to the genuine demand of the Kashmiri Migrants who are sitting on dharna for past 50 days demanding enhancement of cash assistance to them as well as ensuring proper and regular power supplies to the Jagti mini township, which has added to the suffering of the inmates.
He has further announced the names of presidents of the mission for districts Kathua and Samba.
