Ensure security of religious places, community members in Valley: KPs

JAMMU, June 9: Kashmiri Pandits today urged the Government to ensure the security of religious places of Hindus in Kashmir Valley and the minorities living there in view of recent mysterious fire which destroyed the famous Rani temple at world famous tourist resort of Gulmarg.
The recent fire incident at world famous Rani Temple at Gulmarag in Kashmir and undesired trifle between two neighbours belonging to different religious faiths over a piece of land in Verinag is cause of concern for the community.
In a press statement issued today by senior Kashmir Pandit leader, M.K.Yogi said that an emergent meeting of KPs was held in this connection at Durga Nagar which was attended by large number of prominent community members in which such incidents were termed as most painful and shocking.
The speakers also impressed upon Deputy Commissioner Anantnag to take migrant issues with seriousness, utmost sensitivity and priority.
The meeting was organised by M K Yogi senior community leader which was attended by Moti Lal Malla, BJP KDD Mandal president, B. L Raina, and his team, M.K.Bangroo, Vinod Pandita, Vishal Jotshi,
Sundari Lal Koul from PNBMT, P L Swadeshi, president ADKUF, ex. Sarpanch Manoj Kumar,
Durga Nagar- Dogra Nagar Welfare Committee coordinators, B L Raina, M K Razdan and Sanjay Gunjoo, social activist, Razdan, Sharda Nandan Bhat and representatives of ASKPC.
Meanwhile All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) in its meeting at Jagti also expressed serious concern over mysterious fire that destroyed the ancient temple at Gulmarg and demanded security to minorities in Valley.
President AIMCCC, Desh Rattan has demanded security for Hindu shrines and minority Pandits including package employees in Valley.
