BHADERWAH, July 24: Former MLC and president/chairman of various religious and educational organizations, Naresh Gupta has demanded best possible management and arrangement for Yatras viz a viz Yatra of Shree Bhagwati Chandi, Machail Padder Kishtwar & AdhBudh Dareshan at Chinote Kailash Yatra, Bhaderwah Manimahesh Yatra, Nagni Devi Yatra, Reshoshra Devi Yatra, Ashapati Yatra etc.likely to be commenced from ending August and September 2023.
While welcoming the efforts of Divisional Commissioner Jammu , who officially set in motion e – launches official website of Shri Machail Mata Yatra yesterday for it’s promotion, Ex-MLC expressed his anguish over the slackness/ absolutely cool attitude of the LG Administration in implementing the High Court decision, where in clear instructions have been issued to constitute Shree Mata Chandi Devi Machail Padder Kishtwar at the pattern of Shree MVDSB or Shree ANSB, and till this exercise is completed, for the time being, handover the management of Machail Mata to the already existing Boards. “We have been fighting for the constitution of independent Board for the best management of this Shrine which includes AdhBudh Dareshan wonderful, admirable and blissful glimpses of Chinote Mandir of Bhagwati Chandi.
Ex-MLA said only Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar can’t handle the management, the Yatra has achieved the heights at the National level especially in the entire Northern India, how DC alone can arrange and manage the entire route from Lakhanpur to Padder, Bhaderwah, Doda.
He said a Bill was brought and passed in the Upper House of Jammu and Kashmir after hard efforts and was placed before the Lower House, but majority MLA’s of BJP failed to get it passed despite assurances from ex- Speaker Kavinder Gupta and Priya Sethi, Sunil Sharma ex- Ministers, this is unfortunate ” we missed the train” due to incompetent approach of some people.
He alleged that Tourism Deptt has failed to promote the importance of these Holy Yatras of Doda and Kishtwar. Ex-MLC requested the Lt Goernor Manoj Sinha to ensure better arrangements for these Yatras and slash rates of heli-serice.
