JAMMU, July 2: BJP Kissan Morcha leader and former Sarpanch Capt (retd) K L Sharma has demanded supply of Kerosene Oil in Jammu which is needed by farmers for running the water pumps in the fields.
In a statement issued here today Capt Sharma said as the Kharif season is on the peak and paddy is being planted in the fields, which need ample irrigation but the farmers are facing lot of difficulty in running the water pumps which are run by Kerosene oil.
He demanded immediate supply of Kerosene oil in adequate quantity in Jammu region in general and Jammu district in particular so that the farming community is not put to problems. Capt Sharma has made an appeal to Lt Governor, G C Murmu seeking his immediate intervention in the matter.
