EPFO organizes awareness programs under “Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0”

JAMMU, Oct 27: Regional office of Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) today organized awareness programmes under “Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0” at Himalayan Degree College Rajouri, G D Goenka Public School Baramulla and Siddhartha High School Choskor (Leh), simultaneously.
At Himalayan Degree College in Rajouri, Regional Provident Fund (RPF) Commissioner, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Rizwan Uddin, inaugurated the session. He emphasized employers to enroll all eligible employees as members of Provident Fund and Pension Scheme. Employers and employees’ representatives were encouraged to raise their concerns and issues faced by them, openly.
The RPF Commissioner highlighted the key features of the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 and the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976 while stating that these two prominent social security schemes are being extended to workers in J&K and Ladakh from November, 2019. He also discussed the features of these schemes in detail.
The workshop lasted for more than one hour, where Rizwan Uddin heard the issues being faced by the establishments and employees. A hand holding and interactive session continued for another hour in which various stakeholders went live and learnt how to deal with the problems faced by them.
Enrollment of the members, UAN Activation, Bank & Aadhaar Seeding, online claim filing, filing of e-nominations, e-sign, filing ECR were covered in the program. In addition to above any other relevant issue related to EPFO, which officers or stakeholders desire, were discussed.
Chairman of Himalayan Degree College Rajouri Md Muslim Wani, Md Ishaq (Registrar, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University), Md Azam Shah (Retired Head Master) and Maulana Lal Uddin were also present on the occasion.
Services and benefits of “Social Security”–Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 and enhanced quantum (up to Rupees Seven Lakhs) of Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Schemes, 1976 are being rendered to employees of Union territory of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh with effect from November 2019 onwards. The features of these schemes were discussed in detail at the Nidhi Aapke Nikat programme.
