EPTWS submits memo to Manhas, highlights grievances

JAMMU, Mar 27: A programme was organized today by the Evacuee Property Tenants Welfare Society, wherein it submitted a memorandum of demands to the MP Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas.
Besides the MP, MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta also graced the occasion and listened to the problems faced by the evacuee property holders for the last 68 years.
While speaking on the occasion, Manhas said being vice chairman of the committee named the Enemy Property Act in the Parliament he is cognizant of the problems faced by the evacuee tenants and would use all his powers to redress them.
Rajesh Gupta said that he had been fighting for the rights of evacuee tenants even when he was a Corporator. “Now as the MLA of the same area, I am very much concerned about the issues concerning the evacuee tenants”, he added.
Office bearers of the society present on the occasion included Jyoti Vaid, president, Mohd Sharif, general secretary, Ramesh Sharma, secretary and Ramesh Sudan, Amit Luthra, Jamshed Akhtar, Parvinder Kaur, Sushant Gupta, Sunny Chibber, Raj Ram Chowdhry, Madan Gopal and Suraj Prakash Sharma.
Prominent who accompanied the MLA include Atul Rajpal, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Dalip Gupta, Pradip Sharma, Balraj Gupta, Naresh Pradhan, Girdhari Lal, Rajesh, Raj Kumar, PC Gupta, Chaman Lal and Hari Om.
