JAMMU, Oct 5: Stating that the present BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre and the PDP-BJP coalition in the State have undertaken a number of projects and launched welfare schemes, BJP State president & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma said that an era of development has begun. The BJP Chief, who along with senior officials of PWD, visited Daghore village in Samba Assembly Constituency to have an on the spot assessment of the problems being faced by the people, announced Rs. 10 lakh from his MPLAD for undertaking development works in Daghore and directed the PWD officials to prepare estimate for widening of the road of the area for the smooth flow of traffic and public movement.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing a progamme at Daghore said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir returned three MPs to Lok Sabha and later, BJP registered victory in 25 Assembly seats in Jammu province as they had realized the need to bring in BJP. “We are well aware that the people expressed their faith in our plank of good governance, development and ending corruption”, Jugal said and claimed that not a single case of corruption has been noticed during last 8 months in the State, neither any scam has been witnessed in one and half year rule of BJP-led NDA at Centre, he added.
He said various welfare schemes have been launched and mega projects aimed at development have been initiated.
Sharma said that the Party is working towards fulfilling its promise of development and the work is visible on ground now but unfortunately the opposition parties have closed their eyes.
Jugal also kick started the work of road black topping in Bari Brahmana, adjoining areas.
BJP leaders including Kashmira Singh, Subash Bhagat, Sanjeev Padha, Rashpal Verma, Jangbir Singh, Amar Singh, Jyoti Mishra, Pooja Devi and others attended the programme.
