ERA to spend Rs 101 crore for rehabilitation of flyover-affected shopkeepers

SRINAGAR, July 10: Jammu and Kashmir Economic Reconstruction Agency, which is constructing the Jehangir Chowk-Rambagh flyover, will be spending Rs 101 crore for rehabilitation of shopkeepers getting who are affected due to the construction of the project.
Under the rehabilitation component of the prestigious project the agency has already spent Rs 57 crores on the construction of two state-of-art commercial complexes at Jehangir Chowk and Rambagh crossing respectively.
“The agency is expected to spend Rs 37 crores as compensation for land acquisition process in the project,” said Muhammad Azhar, ERA’s Public Relations Officer.
Azhar said the rehabilitation complexes have been provided with all the prerequisites of contemporary shopping complex  viz   adequate underground car parking space, separate public convenience for male and female shoppers,  fire safety system and building lift system.
