Eradication of corruption

Sir,
Corruption, a menace has deep roots in every sphere of life in our society today. It is a vast term, not only confined to financial matters. A number of glaring examples such as- adding water to milk, weighing short measure, black marketing, irresponsible attitude while performing assigned duty, demanding commission or gratification by allowing the use of substandard material in public works etc. are some of the faces of corruption.
In what ever shape or to what magnitude it may be, its erradication is a must to obtain a society of high order.  The reasons behind such a menace are lack of fellow feeling and national spirit,  insensitive attitude to our responsibilities as citizens of a democratic set up, selfish motive without giving weightage to live and let live policy and a narrow outlook etc.
A mass movement at a national level with active co-operation of all agencies is required to be launched and the culprits need to be identified,  rebuked admonished.  Mere making law without enforcement shall lead us no where.
So  far as  corruption at higher level for which people like Swami Ramdev and Anna team are fighting, this problem can only be solved by sitting together with Govt with the active involvement of the intelligentsia of the country thinking  it a national problem rather than making it a prestige issue.
Yours etc…
