DODA, Nov 18: Continuing its drive against traffic violators, Police here today registered an FIR against a driver and seized 5 vehicles apart from challaning 87 other vehicles for violation of traffic laws.
Police sources informed that an FIR with number 252/2023 under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Doda against driver Sunit Singh, resident of Bibrota Kashtigarh for carrying passengers beyond the seating capacity of his vehicle.
The driver was arrested and his vehicle seized.
Apart from this, 5 vehicles were seized and 87 were Challaned for violating traffic laws.
Police has warned traffic violators to shun the practice of overloading and other traffic violations else they will face strict action which will lead to suspension of driving licence, vehicle documents along with registration of FIRs.
