JMC is publishing the voter list as and when elections are held. I had a chance to go through these voter lists of Ward No. 38 and found many mistakes in spelling, names and Sirnames. This was brought to the kind notice of concerned authorities by the u/s through “Reader’s Write” column of your esteemed paper many times including one published dated 18-9-2016. Now, a revised list of voters dated 9.3.2016 has been published by JMC and Voter list of Ward No. 38 has been received by me.
From the perusal of this list, it is observed that names of many voters have been deleted while those who have since left for heavenly abroad exist and spellings, names and sirnames are wrongly written.
To count a few the names of Naresh Bali (S No. 124) Booth No. 3 (expired a decade ago) Janki Nath (S No. 420) Booth No. 4 and Hera Lal (Hera Lal Chatta) a prominent KP/BJP leader exist in the revised list. The name of Sushant Koul (S No. 562) Booth No. 4 has been written as Sh Sant Koul, Shradha Koul (S No. 563) Booth No. 4 has been written as Suradha Koul, Sirname of J Kishen Kher has been written as J Kishan “Keher” (S No. 167 Booth No. 4) while name of Serial No. 1329 (Booth No. 5) has been written as Hemanshi instead of Hemanshi Channa.
As JMC elections alongwith Panchayat Elections are likely to be defined, as such concerned Quarters have enough time to get the voter list rectified and publish a new and revised list. To ensure publication of errorless voter list the assistance of migrant employees who are well versed with voters names, Sir name, gender and spellings can be sought/ utilized if otherwise required.
