‘Erstwhile Dogra royal family prolific temple builders’

JAMMU, Dec 21: Hinduism Today- an influential and widely circulated quarterly magazine from the Shaiva Siddhanta Church in Hawaii, has described the erstwhile Dogra royal family as prolific temple builders.
Appreciating the erstwhile Dogra rulers for their valour and love for Sanatana Dharma, the magazine has observed that Dr Karan Singh, while holding multiple public offices, was at the same serving the temples of Jammu as head of the Dharmarth Trust.
In its latest issue, the magazine has published an impressive cover story with 10 pages of text on `The Royal temples of Jammu.” Profusely illustrated, the article covers the Sri Raghunath Temple extensively as also Sri Ranbireshwar Siva Temple, the Purmandal Temple, the Bawey Wali Mata Temple, the Peer Kho Temple, Nagrota and the Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple in Janipur Colony.
It has also covered the Sri Raghunath Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, the Amar Mahal Museum and Library and the Dogra Art Museum.
