JAMMU, Mar 19: Ankur Sharma, National President of Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal (ESBD), announced today that his party has been allocated the common symbol of a flute (Bansuri) by the Election Commission of India (ECI) after its registration with the Commission earlier.
He stated that all the ESBD candidates nationwide will now campaign under this symbol (Bansuri).
Speaking to the media here, Ankur Sharma emphasized the significance of a party symbol, stating that the flute represents Sanatana values and culture.
Sharma further disclosed that ESBD will soon finalize its candidates for the Udhampur-Doda and Jammu Parliamentary Constituencies.
He underscored ESBD’s commitment to representing the interests of the Jammu region, asserting that the party has consistently advocated for its people, both through activism and legal channels.
Highlighting the disparity faced by Jammu in comparison to Kashmir, Sharma criticized Kashmir-based political parties for neglecting the development and representation needs of the region.
He positioned ESBD as an alternative to the ruling BJP, accusing it of perpetuating the historical marginalization of Jammu in favor of appeasing Kashmir.
Sharma appealed to the public for support in ESBD’s mission to champion the cause of Jammu, urging voters to rally behind the party’s efforts to address longstanding injustices and disparities in the region.
