ESM holds seminar

JAMMU, Nov 26: A meeting cum seminar of the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) belonging to 3rd Battalion of The Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry called Khalid-e-Kashmir battalion was held at Ratno Chak on Sunday.
State Director of the War Decorated India, Col (Retd)    Dr Virendra K Sahi, VrC was the chief guest at the seminar, while Retd Col (s) V S Mangotra, JBS Samyal, MS Dahiya, SC, S S Sambyal were guests of honour. Advocate Supreme Court Balraj S Malik of New Delhi was special invitee.
The chief guest exhorted the ESM to stay united and vote only for that party /candidate who support ESM in their struggle to get justice in their burning issues of VAT, housing colonies and One Rank One Pension (OROP). He also advised them to consolidate their vote power including the postal ballot of soldiers in service and pose an apolitical united front cutting across all regional, political and communal lines to support the causes of ESM.
Col M S Dahiya WHO came from Delhi, awared the ESM on various openings in self help groups, co-operatives and joint ventures possible for ESM. Col V S Mangotra spoke on the health services and lacunae in the ECHS scheme advising ESM to voice their rights forcefully.
ESM from Jammu province belonging to the Khalid-e-Kashmir battalion from far flung areas of the province like Rajouri, Poonch, Nowshera, Bhaderwah and Kishtwar, Kathua attended besides local ESM from Akhnoor, Jammu, Samba and RS Pura. The ESM Sarpanchs and Panchs were also present.
