ESRM performs ‘ Nukkud’ for slum dwellers

Jammu, June 2: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) staged its 92nd ‘Monday Theatre’ with Vijay Malla’s Hindi  “Nukkud” “Jago  Bandhu  Jago Bahheya” in collaboration with Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Sansthan at  Shant Nager, Janipur here today.
“The  Nukkud  Jago  Bhandu   Jago  Bahhey ” is  awakening call  for  petty  labour   who earns hand   to mouth  wages  but  spends  maximum  in drinking and  gambling ,   leaving behind  his  family  in akward ,  distressed  and  handicapped  position. Such  families  are common  in  slums. Even their  children are deprived of  basic education. This play warns and awakens  such kind of people in the society.
The title song of this Nukkud is sung by the all actors and defines the matter of subject with the words like, “Jago Bandhu Jago Bahheya”, “Doob rehee hai teri nayya” , “Kurna hai jo juldee kur ley aag hai peechey aagey diriyaa”.
This ‘Nukkud’ also explains the importance of basic education for school going children. Their parents must encourage children for education despite of poverty. Then again a warning is given by this Nukkud that child labour is totally illegal, all over our country. Even parents should not encourage child labour, only education can create opportunities and venues for children. A large number of labour-class and people residing in surrounding witnessed.
Among the dignitaries who witnessed the play included M.L.Dogra  Chairman  BLSKS,   artist K.L.Verma,  and Master Deepak Dogra.  The actors who participated in the Nukkud were K.K. Joshi, M.C.Kotwal, Anuroop Pathania, Rakesh Katoch, Anil Singh, Zeeshan Malik, Shiv Kumar, Sandeep Kour, Kanta Sharma and others.
