JAMMU, June 20: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) in collaboration with BLSKS presented Vijay Malla’s play ‘Hum Kahan Ja Rahey Hain’ in its Monday Theatre series.
The play was staged in nukkad form at Comrade Dhanwantri Park, opposite RBI Jammu. This presentation was based on anti-drug campaign initiated by Jammu and Kashmir Police.
In the play ‘Luckma’, an evil character in the society, encourages youth towards drug addiction for his own profits. He is advised by the senior citizens of the society to stop such activities but he seldom cares for their advice. One day he is shocked to know that his own son has become a drug addict.
He repents and confesses for the damage he has done to the society. Now, he agrees to the advice of the elder people and starts anti-drug campaign so that his sins are forgiven.
The play was written and directed by Vijay Malla and assisted by Anroop Pathania. Actors who performed in the play were Ripu Daman Parihar, Anroop Pathania, Kanta Sharma, Prabal Sharma, Mohit Chargotra, Kuldeep Raj, Deepak Verma, Rakesh Katoch and Vijay Malla.
