JAMMU, Feb 28: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) here today staged Vijay Malla’s Nukad play ‘Samaj Seva Aur Hum’.
The play opens with Nanu and Binu depressed when their friend Shamo told them that he works overnight as a labourer after attending school for the marriage of his sister as they were not in a position to meet expenses of the marriage.
Both Nanu and Binu decided to start a mission to get married poor girls free of cost and they chalked out a plan and formed a committee and started collecting just Rs 50 from every person against a receipt.
They also involved elders for advice and moral boost.
Management of a temple provided them venue for marriages and they made a list poor girls for marriage.
First in their mission was Shamo’s sister, who was married with great pomp and show.
They said that their next mission would be ‘medical care for old and needy’.
Actors who acted in the play were Ankush Malla, Raju Mad, Rakesh Katoch, Munshi and Vijay Malla.
This play was written and directed by Vijay Malla.
