JAMMU, July 6: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) here today staged Vijay Malla’s latest progressive Nukad ‘Tehzeeb’.
The Nukad starts with an old man out to aware the younger generation about our culture, history and traditions.
‘Jago Bandhu Jago Bhaiya’ song of ESRM was presented in the beginning of Nukad.
The old man checks the youth for their knowledge about great warriors who have given us independence.
He starts by asking questions like—Who were Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru? What do you know about Chander Shehkar Azad? Who said ‘Aap Mujhey Khoon Do, Mey Tumhey Azadi Dunga’?
Then the old man explained the youth about the importance and history of these names and also told them about Lohri, Bhajan, Kirtan and Kalams.
He mentioned the names of Baba Farid, Surdas, Kabir and Meera Bai.
Actors who performed in the Nukad were Raju Mad, Sanjeev, Idrees Munshi and Vijay Malla.
The Nukad was written and directed by Vijay Malla.
