RAJOURI, July 15: Deputy Inspector General of Police Rajouri-Poonch (RP) Range, Dr Mohammad Haseeb Mughal, today directed the police officers of the twin border districts to establish and nurture contacts to break the network of terrorists in the region.
He issued these directions while chairing an intelligence and security review conference at the Conference Hall of District Police Line (DPL) Rajouri.
A statement said that the primary objective of the conference was to conduct a comprehensive security review of the ongoing anti-terrorist operations and to oversee the functioning of the Intelligence network in Rajouri and Poonch Districts.
The conference was attended by Amritpal Singh, SSP Rajouri; Vinay Sharma, SSP Poonch; Vivek Shekhar, ASP HQ Rajouri, Md Rafi Giri, ASP Nowshera among other officers.
During the conference, in-depth discussions were held on various critical issues concerning internal security, terrorism, upcoming events such as Muharram, Independence Day, Shri Buddha Amarnathji Yatra, NHW deployment, as well as the review of VDGs (Village Defense Guards), Guards, and PSOs (Personal Security Officers).
Each officer present at the conference provided detailed briefings on their respective field Intelligence grid, security deployments, and the proactive measures being taken to dismantle terror networks within their areas of responsibility.
Emphasizing the gravity of the situation, the DIG RP Range, Dr Mohammad Haseeb Mughal, urged the officers to demonstrate unwavering commitment and adopt innovative mechanisms for Intelligence collection and analysis.
He further highlighted the importance of establishing and nurturing human contacts to bolster their efforts in eliminating the terror network.
All officers were unequivocally reminded to maintain a state of high alertness and operational readiness to effectively address any potential challenges or contingencies. They were also entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the peaceful conduct of all upcoming events.
