JAMMU, July 12: Serving an ultimatum of two weeks over their demands, All J&K Estate Employees Association, Jammu Province, has threatened stir if the State Government does not give positive response on their issues.
While addressing a press conference, here today, the Association president, Prem Singh Bawa strongly criticized the State Government for its callous attitude towards the long pending genuine demands of the Estate employees, who are pressing for re-organization of the department, DPC of all categories, regularization of Daily Wagers, etc.
“Despite our repeated memorandums to the State Government inviting attention on our long pending genuine demands, there has been no response and if the same attitude continues, we will be forced to adopt agitational path,” he said.
Prem Singh informed that a day-long meeting of the Association members was held on Monday where threadbare discussion was held on all the demands, which include additional pay of two and half days in favour of the staff, release of time bound promotion orders along with pending arrears, settlement of pending SRO-43 cases, shifting of Deputy Director Estate office in Government accommodation, continuation of Daily Wagers who have been deleted from the list and framing seniority list of the Helpers in the list of Supervisors.
“The meeting unanimously dec-ided to adopt agitational path if no response is given by the Gover-nment on out demands within two weeks,” Prem Singh Bawa said and appealed all the employees of Estate Depar-tment to remain united for getting their due rights.
Others, who were present in the press conference, included Rashpal Lal, Puran Chand, Mahinder Lal, Tilak Raj, Sagar Masih, Varinder Kumar, Subash Chander, Dharam Pal, Kuldeep Raj, Ravi Kumar, Anil Kumar, Vivek Kumar, Baldev Singh, Kamal Lal, Kuldeep Raj, Raju, Raman Gupta, Nanak Chand, Kimti Lal, Rajinder Singh, Vijay Koul, Sudhir Bhati, Bachan Lal, Suresh Singh, Dev Raj, Bansi Lal, Swarn Singh, Sat Pal Singh, Kramit Mattoo, Azaj Ahmed and Mualkh Raj.
