JAMMU, June 7: The Coordination Committee of Estates Employees have projected the burning issues of the Estates Department workers.
In a meeting of Coordination Committee held under the chairmanship of Yash Paul Sharma, the members urged upon the higher authorities in J&K UT to regularise the services of daily rated workers, whose cases are already pending in the Finance Deptt for approval of the competent committee constituted by the Govt two years ago.
They also demanded change the recruitment rules, conduct DPC of employees on quarterly or half yearly basis, go for re-orgnisation of the Estates Deptt which has not been done for the last 48 years. It is unfortunate that the department is being run by the ‘contractors’ and there is huge wastage worth crores which is needed to be plugged.
They also demanded engagement of more manpower in the Department to avoid encroachment on Govt/ Estate land in the heart of Jammu city worth crores.
Coordination Committee decided to appeal the Chief Secretary of the J&K to fill up class IV vacancies by absorbing daily raters workers.
Committee members attending meeting included Jeet Raj, Subash Chander, Satish Chander, Kuldeep Raj, Yashpal Yogi, Billu Ram, Rajesh Kumar, Hardeep Singh, Ravi Sharma, Babu Ram and Kewal Krishan.
