Ethics Committee recommends 3 Assembly sessions

SRINAGAR, June 10: The Committee on Ethics of Legislative Assembly recommended for conducting of three Assembly sessions in a year so that maximum public interest issues could be discussed.
The Committee, which met under the Chairmanship of MLA, Aijaz Ahmad Jan here today, discussed overall functioning of the Committee.
Legislators, Mir Zahoor Ahmad, Peer Aafaq Ahmad, Bharat Bushan and Sukhnandan Kumar gave their valuable suggestions for making the working of the Committee effective and result oriented.
Threadbare discussion was held on the reports submitted by the previous Ethics Committee.
The panel directed the concerned officers of the Assembly Secretariat to obtain the reports of Ethics Committee from other States of the country and circulate the same among the Members of the Committee for their perusal.
Among others, Special Secretary Assembly M. R. Singh and other officers of the Assembly Secretariat attended the meeting.
