JAMMU, Mar 23: Representatives of the Evacuee Tenants Welfare Society (ETWS) under the President-ship Jyoti Vaid today met MoS Information, Education & Culture, Priya Sethi and BJP Jammu Poonch Parliamentary Incharge Yudhvir Sethi to discuss with them the problems of the PoJK Refugees who have been suffering since 1947 and urged them to promote their genuine cause so that they could lead a dignified and secure life as citizens of the State.
The other members of the Society were Mohammad Sharief, Ramesh Sudan, Sanny Chibber, Hardeep Kour, Raju ji and Pardeep Langhey.
Narrating their woeful tales, they told BJP leaders that they represent more than 25000 families in the Jammu city itself and said that the main cause responsible for the problem they have been facing is the refusal of the concerned authority to abolish the Custodian Department and plot evacuee property to their occupancies on the permanent basis. They expressed the hope that I.J.P which is now part of the govt. will take their issues and help them overcome the problems they are facing since more than six decades.
Both Priya and Yudhvir Sethi informed them that BJP is committed to defend and promote further their cause. They further said that it is the BJP and its earlier incarnations Praja Parishad and Bharatiya Jansangh which consistently fought for general cause of the PoJK refugees and presently is fighting for their cuses the BJP.
