JAMMU, Feb 9: Police today arrested a person for eve-teasing girls in Nai-Basti area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu police station.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Vijay Kumar, son of Prithvi Raj, a resident of Nai Basti, Bagh-e-Bahu that Inderjeet, son of Sant Ram, a resident of Nai Basti, Bagh-e-Bahu was passing some intolerable remarks to his family members including his daughters.
Acting over the complaint, a case under Section 294, 341, 504 and 506 RPC was registered with Bagh-e-Bahu police station and the accused was arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu police station Inspector Vijay Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Chandan Kohli, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
