Every section suffers due to BJP’s anti-people policies: Rattan Lal

JAMMU, Oct 18: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has castigated the BJP Govt for plunging every section of the society into miseries due to its totally anti-people policies.
It has further accused the J&K Union Territory Administration of adopting a callous attitude towards the Schedule Caste community besides other reserved categories.
The accusation were voiced during a meeting of the District presidents of Schedule Caste (SC) Cell of Jammu Province held at NC office here today.
While Vijay Lochan, Provincial president SC Cell of National Conference for Jammu presided over the meeting, Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial president NC was the chief guest on the occasion.
During the meeting detailed deliberations and discussions were held on the pressing issues confronting the members of the Schedule Caste community including backlog, reservation, etc.
While speaking on the occasion Gupta said that every section of the society is suffering due to the hollow policies of this Govt. He said people residing in urban areas are struggling for basic necessity like drinking water and worst is the condition in rural areas as well.
He stated that the PHE daily wagers are on strike for the last about four months.People are not getting regular water supply but it is quite shameful for the Govt which is not resolving the issue. Gupta slammed Govt for its callous attitude towards the reserve category employees posted in Kashmir who are protesting in Jammu seeking posting in Jammu in view of the unabated target killings there. He also condemned the Govt for raising power tariff and demanded roll back on it.
Vijay Lochan said that while the BJP Govt at the Centre is making tall claims about equitable development and welfare of the people yet the fact remains that SC and other reserve category people continue to be the worst sufferers under the incumbent regime. He demanded that the Govt must change its attitude towards the aforesaid communities and ameliorate the living condition of this section of the society.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Pardeep Bali, Yashu Vardhan Singh, Rita Gupta, Subash Chander Azad, Deepak Attri and others.
