For the last several years we have been listening about fraud in the application of EVMs in the country. EVM has replaced the old system of voting and has eased the exercise and also saved the time. There are people in the opposition who are raising fingers with regard to EVM and try to create suspicion among the electorate in the country. It has been ascertained by the Election Commission of India that EVM carries no defect and is useful for the purpose. It is pertinent to mention here that during last State Assembly elections when Congress Party won majority in the three states of the country Chattisgarh, Madhya Pardesh at that time EVM was OK and when some people fail to win the election the fault is attributed to the EVM and the ruling party. It is the responsibility of the Election Commission of India to educate people in the use of EVM during and prior to the elections of the country. The vicious propaganda for vote bank politics shall not carry any weight when the people of the country are matured enough to decide between good and bad. It is the job of Election Commission of India to ensure and satisfy the system of voting among the people who stand eligible for the same.
