JAMMU, Feb 21: Former Chairman of Municipal Committee (MC) Ramnagar, a retired Zonal Education Officer among five prominent persons from Ramnagar area joined DPAP in presence of former Chief Minister and DPAP Chairman, Ghulam Nabi Azad here today.
Those who joined Azad’s Party include- Makhan Lal, Ex- Chairman of Municipal Committee Ramnagar; Kaka Ram, former ZEO (Retd) Ramnagar, resident of Sunetar in Ramnagar; Dhani Ram, retired from Electric Dept, hailing from Ramnagar town, Social worker Ishar Dass, hailing from Tharwal village in Ramnagar and Shamsher Lal, social worker, resident of Ward No. 13 of Ramnagar.
Ghulam Nabi Azad, welcomed them in the party fold and asked them to work hard for the success of the party and assured them to provide opportunities in the party.
Makhan Lal has been appointed as general secretary for District Udhampur in the Provincial SC Wing and Kaka Ram as secretary in Block Ramnagar, SC Wing. They also expressed their thanks to Ghulam Nabi Azad for admitting them in the party and assured him for their full cooperation and contribution in strengthening the DPAP in Ramnagar area.
Senior party leaders, G M Saroori, R S Chib, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Salman Nizami, Om Raj Bhall and others were also present on the occasion.
