JAMMU, Jan 19: Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association today condemned nonchalant attitude of the Union Government towards Ex-paramilitary persons in a press briefing at RS Pura.
While addressing the media persons, General Secretary, Darshan Chauhan said that every day the news item of the martyrdom and supreme scarifies of the paramilitary persons were reported while fighting with militants and terrorists, infiltrated from the International Borders and Line of Control of Jammu and Kashmir but unfortunately, the paramilitary persons have not gotten the same facilities as par the facilities given to the Indian army.
He further said that for the last 12 years, they had been staging protest demonstration under the banner of the Central Paramilitary Welfare Association for their long pending demands like OROP and facilities of CSD and even thousands of retired paramilitary soldiers had staged protest for “One Rank, One Pension” and other demands at Jantar Mantar , New Delhi last year, but not a single demand is considered by the Union Government so far.
Other who presented in press conference were Gurbachan Singh (District Samba President), Gurdial Singh (District Jammu President), Kaushal Singh (Joint Secretary) and District Samba General Secretary Noor Mohammad.
