JAMMU, Dec 19: Former Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and ex-MLA Basharat Bukhari today said that they have cleared the House Building Advance.
“Housing loan taken by me from the Legislative Assembly has already been cleared by myself in October 2023”, former Deputy Chief Minister told EXCELSIOR through e-mail.
Similarly, Basharat Bukhari said, “I have cleared all dues within the prescribed period of repayment and nothing is pending against me”.
As already reported by EXCELSIOR, misleading information was provided by the J&K Legislative Assembly. Earlier, it mentioned “loan liquidated and NDC issued” in respect of only two former MLAs and later it claimed that several ex-legislators of 12th Legislative Assembly have liquidated House Building Advance from their pension and No-Demand Certificates are awaited from the office of the Accountant General, J&K.
