Ex-gratia relief sanctioned in favour of 4 cases, 31 returned

SRINAGAR: The State Government today sanctioned ex-gratia relief in favour of four militancy affected cases in the frontier district of Kupwara today, an official spokesperson said this evening.

He said the District Magistrate (DM) Kupwara today convened a meeting of District Level Screening- Cum -Coordination Committee (DLSCC) to review the militancy related cases of various nature for grant of ex-gratia relief to affected families.

During the meeting, 35 cases of the different category were taken up for hearing, he said, adding three cases were settled. Total Rs 2 lakh were granted for ex-gratia relief in favour of two death cases.          Also, in two cases compensate appointment was made. (AGENCIES)
