JAMMU, June 16: 3rd Additional District and Sessions Judge Designated NIA Court Sunit Gupta today denied bail to Abid Gani son of former Cabinet Minister and People’s Conference leader Abdul Gani Vakil in six-year-old rape of a minor girl of village Karloop falling under the jurisdiction of Domana police station.
Abid Gani is in police remand at Domana Police Station till June 18.
As reported exclusively by the Excelsior today, Gani was arrested from Sopore few days back only though rape case against him was registered in 2015.
According to police sources, one associate of Gani has still not been identified. However, they said, efforts are on to identify the accused to nab him.
