KATHUA, Jan 24: President BJP Pahari District Basholi, Bani and Billawar and Ex-MLA Bani Jeevan Lal has demanded ex-gratia in favour of snowfall victims.
He visited various locations and assessed the losses suffered by poor people due to heavy rainfall and snowfall.
He told that houses of Sham Lal of Ghuttu Tehsil Bani and Romesh Kumar of Sandroon Tehsil Bani were badly damaged due to heavy snowfall and avalanches.
Jeevan Lal demanded that UT Government should conduct the survey of the losses suffered bty the people due to heavy snowfall and accordingly accommodate the sufferers.
He also demanded restoration of road connectivity, drinking water supply and Power supply in affected areas.
Member District Development Council Kathua (Bani Constituency) Reeta Devi stated that the loss of houses of aforesaid persons has been brought into the notice of District Development Commissioner Kathua. She also demanded ex-gratia to the people whose residential houses and crops are damaged due to heavy rainfall and snowfall, in Tehsil Bani.
