RAMBAN, Aug 29: Ex-MLA Ramban, Ashok Kumar protested against higher authorities of BRO (GREF) demanding double lane black topping of old alignment road from Ramban to Karol Bridge.
He said that army convoy, patients, students and locals are facing a lot of difficulties due to dilapidated condition of the road.
“Concerned higher authorities should immediate get the work started on this important road connecting District Headquarters Ramban, Police Headquarters, Fire Brigade office, Chanderbhaga Transit Camp, Dharmkund, Sangaldan and Gool,” he said adding that there is water logging on the old alignment road and there is never ending landslides and sinking of roads which has further put many houses in the area on verge of sinking due to Gammon Company works.
Ashok further demanded crash barriers on all dangerous spots of old alignment road to minimize the injury to travelers.
