JAMMU, Dec 4: A delegation led by former MLA and senior Congress leader, Th Balwan Singh called on Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today and brought to his notice the sufferings of people due to uncontrolled increase in the population of monkeys in the area.
He said that there are more than 50 Revenue villages in Block Dansal and the residents of almost all these villages have been suffering due to uncontrolled increase in the population of monkeys . The most of the people living in Block Dansal used to grow crops in their fields but the monkeys destroy it.
The delegation also submitted a memorandum containing problems of people of the Block.
Divisional Commissioner gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured them that adequate measures will be taken to protect the crops of villagers.
