POONCH, Aug 12: Provincial Youth National Conference president and former MLA Poonch  Ajaz Jan has expressed serious concern over the continuous shelling from Pakistani side on the villages along the LoC in Poonch district.
The Youth NC leader today constituted a special team of party volunteers to assist the shelling- hit people of the villages along the Line of Control. He said it is matter of shame that nobody from the Government visited the suffering people ever since shelling from across the border intensified in recent weeks.
He said the emergency committee of the youth workers would assist the people coming under the shelling range and ensure that they get all necessary assistance. He exhorted the youth to remain vigilant about the emergent situation and reach out the sufferers immediately.
Mr Jan led a delegation comprising party workers and the locals soon after Sawijan and Gagrian villages came under heavy shelling and apprised the local Tehsildar about the ground situation. He sought immediate shifting of the targeted civilian population to safer areas, so that damaged to life is averted.
