JAMMU, Mar 14: Former MLC and BJP spokesperson, Girdhari Lal Raina along with party State Executive Member & Corporator, Sanjay Baru started construction works of lane and drain in Hazuri Bagh area of Ward 41. The leaders were also accompanied by district general secretary, BJP Jammu West, Karan Sharma, JMC officials, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be constructed under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rs 7.40 lakh and the funds were sanctioned from CDF scheme of former MLC and the funds were delayed due to administrative reasons but the works were started as soon as the process got cleared. Lane No. 11, Hazuri Bagh will be constructed with paver tiles along with proper drain through the funds allotted.
Speaking on the occasion, Girdhari Lal Raina said that construction of this lane was a long pending demand of the residents and that demand has been fulfilled by the efforts of local Corporator. He lauded the efforts of Former MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma as well for taking up major works in Jammu West constituency and in the Ward during past 5 years which included construction of all main and link roads, setting up of new transformers to improve power scenario and replacing decades old water pipes with new ones to provide fresh drinking water to inhabitants of Jammu West.
Sanjay Baru stated that from time to time both Former MLA and MLC have been supportive to the public of Ward 41 and whenever they were asked they sanctioned funds from their personal CDF during their tenure for overall development in the Ward. He said that works done in the Constituency by Former MLA, Sat Sharma have satisfied lakhs of inhabitants and every basic amenity to next level infra has been provided to the locals in order to give every possible facility to the residents at their doorsteps.
